Dinosaur Birthday Party
Dinosaur theme for 10th birthday
For my son’s 10th birthday he chose, “Dinosaurs” as the theme. He is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the dinosaur age!
Theme Colours: Green, black and white
Dinosaur birthday cake (an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, his fave)
I wrapped Oreo Cakesters in white fondant and attached some track prints I cut out from black fondant…quick and easy!
Sour candies I picked up at the local bulk store, Bulk Barn
For the “kibble” I popped some unsalted, un-buttered popcorn and laid batches on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Then I melted some candy coating melts (separate batches of blue and green) and drizzled this over the popcorn. Let the popcorn dry and then bag up until ready to serve. I mixed the two colour batches together.
These Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies from Picky Palate are outrageous! I’ve made these several times for my family, and they disappear fast! A definite hit at the party…what’s better than a cookie inside a cookie?
Pizza, chips, pop and juice
Dinosaur Egg Hunt
I used large plastic Easter eggs and filled them with candies and small toys, and hid them around the house for the guests to find.
